Anne Marie Waters Exposes the Collapse of Britain—and Warns America Is Next

In an explosive and deeply sobering interview with RAIR Foundation USA, British author, activist, and political leader Anne Marie Waters delivered a stark warning to Americans: “What happened to Britain is already happening to you—and you don’t even see it yet.”
Waters, the founder of the For Britain Movement and author of Beyond Terror and In Defence of Democracy, has long been one of the United Kingdom’s most unflinching voices on the consequences of mass Islamic migration, the erosion of national sovereignty, and the political betrayal of women and children. In her conversation with RAIR, Waters draws chilling parallels between the UK’s decline and the United States’ current trajectory, urging Americans to wake up before it’s too late.

Britain Unrecognizable
“I can remember a time when it was assumed that the law applied to everyone equally,” Waters said. “That’s gone. We now live in a country where violent crime is off the charts… where bars of chocolate are locked in boxes because of shoplifting.”
But for Waters, the most devastating changes are not economic—they’re moral and cultural.
“The horrible crimes that we have imported to the UK—FGM, rape gangs, child marriage, Sharia courts—none of this was even publicly contemplated 20 years ago. No one would have believed you.”
Waters cited a dramatic rise in National Health Service clinics treating survivors of female genital mutilation (FGM)—from eight just a decade ago to 24 today. “This is not about clinics performing FGM,” she clarified. “It’s about how much demand there is to treat the aftermath. That’s how widespread it is.”
The Industrial-Scale Abuse of Girls
When asked about the so-called “grooming gangs,” Waters minced no words.
“These are not ‘groomers’ in the sense the term suggests,” she said. “They are child sex slavery gangs.”
Waters described the systematic targeting of vulnerable young girls, many in state care, by predominantly Muslim men, often Pakistani, Somali, Afghan, or Moroccan, depending on the region.
“They start with love bombing, a man showers the girl with affection and gifts. Then, slowly, she’s passed around. She’s raped. Then threatened. Photos are taken. She’s blackmailed. She’s trafficked from town to town. Some are raped by hundreds of men.”
The scale of this abuse, she warned, is staggering. “It’s happening on an industrial level, and everyone knows it, including the government.”
According to Waters, the perpetrators are rarely punished. “The government knows. The media knows. The police know. But they’re afraid to act. They’re terrified of being called racist or ‘Islamophobic’.”
One Member of Parliament, she noted, was sacked for suggesting that over a million British girls may have been abused. “And she’s right,” Waters added.
“It’s Not Pakistani—It’s Islamic”
Waters made clear that the issue isn’t about nationality – it’s ideology. “They’ll call them anything but Muslim,” she said. “Asian, Pakistani, whatever it takes to avoid saying the word. But the common denominator is Islam.”
“In Yorkshire, the gangs are Pakistani. In Bristol, they’re Somali. In Sweden, they’re Afghan. In Italy, they’re Moroccan. This isn’t about ethnicity. It’s about Islam.”
She added that British authorities initially tried to label the gangs as “Asian”—until the Hindu and Sikh communities protested the smear, noting they had no involvement. “Even now, they try everything to avoid saying it’s Muslims. But it is.”
Waters emphasized that this pattern of abuse mirrors core Islamic legal attitudes toward non-Muslim women, viewed as inferior, immodest, and unprotected under Sharia, making them permissible targets in the eyes of Islam.
Islamic Supremacy and the Targeting of Western Women
Waters was unequivocal in identifying the ideological driver behind the abuse.
“The common denominator is Islam. Not Pakistani, not Somali—Islam,” she said. “There is a hatred of unbelievers. There is a hatred of women. Then you add in Western women—unbelieving, uncovered, unprotected—and to them, they’re whores.”
“These men come from cultures where women risk death if they’re not veiled. They come to Britain and see 12-year-old girls in shorts. They see prey. And they know we won’t protect those girls.”
Waters, who has read the Qur’an and Hadith, pointed out the extensive justifications for warfare against non-Muslims and the subjugation of women. “You can’t reform it. Criticism of Islam is punishable by death. How can a religion ever undergo reform if it’s illegal to suggest it needs reform?”
Journalism Betrayed: The Decline of Media Integrity
“I can remember a time when newspapers gave you the facts and let you decide. That time is gone.”
Waters reflected on how even basic journalistic ethics—like seeking comment from the subject of a story—have been abandoned. “They wrote an entire article about me titled ‘Who is Anne Marie Waters’ and never once spoke to me.”
This abandonment of ethics, she argues, is part of a larger institutional rot where dissenters are vilified without recourse and truth is filtered through ideological gatekeeping.
Media Censorship and Political Betrayal
Waters herself has paid a steep price for speaking out.
“I’ve been called far-right. I’m a feminist. I’m a vegan. I left the Labour Party over its corruption. And yet, because I speak honestly about Islamic violence, I’m slandered and silenced.”
Even conservative figures like Nigel Farage have attacked her, she noted. “They don’t want the truth, only political positioning.”
She recounted being censored and banned from social media. At the same time, the mainstream press refused to speak with her directly, even publishing an article titled “Who is Anne Marie Waters?” without ever contacting her. “I was never interviewed. Just lied about. That’s the state of journalism in Britain.”
Waters also credited one man, journalist Andrew Norfolk, for being the first to publicly expose grooming gangs in The Times. “Without him, we may never have known,” she said. It wasn’t until the 2015 government-commissioned Alexis Jay Report that the scale of the abuse was confirmed. “This is where we learned that a father trying to rescue his daughter was arrested. A girl who complained of rape was arrested. These were not tabloid claims. These are in the official report.”
Token Prosecutions and State Sabotage
Waters emphasized how the British state performs “token prosecutions” against a handful of grooming gang members to appease public outrage, while allowing the industrial-scale abuse to continue unchecked. She pointed to the case of Labour MP Sarah Champion, who was forced to resign from her cabinet post in 2017 after publicly highlighting that the majority of grooming gang perpetrators were British Pakistani men. Champion’s fall, Waters argued, sent a chilling message: even elected officials risk their careers for daring to speak the truth. As for the scale of abuse, Waters and others estimate that the number of victims could reach a million nationwide—a figure the government refuses to investigate.
The Real-Life Impact of State Cowardice
Waters offered a chilling firsthand account from a hospital emergency room:
“A group of what I assume were Pakistani or Bangladeshi men marched in and demanded that their woman be seen immediately, while everyone else waited for hours. And the staff let them. Why? Fear. Fear of being called racist. Fear of violence.”
This daily reality, she said, exemplifies the two-tiered society Britain has created—one in which native citizens are sidelined to avoid offending aggressive minorities.
Destroying National Identity
Waters described a Britain that has not only lost its pride, but is being taught to hate itself.
“Children are taught that the British Empire was evil—no mention of the fact it abolished slavery or brought infrastructure and prosperity to parts of the world.”
Even more disturbingly, she noted efforts to rewrite history: “They’re now teaching kids that the original Britons were black. I mean, where did white people come from then—outer space?”
She said the aim is to destroy the idea that Europeans have any right to a homeland. “Everyone else has a home. White people are told they don’t.”
Waters said that today, simply expressing pride in being British is considered “controversial.”
Lies Win. Terrorism Works.
“Terrorism works. Sadly, it does. So does lying. Liars win all the time.”
In a brutally honest moment, Waters acknowledged that the culture of fear gripping the UK works exactly as intended. Whether it’s grooming gang coverups, hospital intimidation, or historical lies—fear and deceit are powerful weapons, and the state wields both to protect ideology, not its people.
A Warning to America
“The U.S. is not far behind,” she warned. “You already have Sharia councils. You have FGM. You have grooming gangs—I guarantee it. You have cities run entirely by Muslims. You’ve just got more space to hide it.”
Waters pointed to cities like Minneapolis and areas of Michigan and Texas as signs that the UK’s fate is taking root in America.
“If the U.S. wants to avoid becoming Britain, immigration from Islamic countries must stop – completely,” she said. “You cannot take hundreds of thousands of people out of a culture that’s centuries behind and expect it to integrate. That’s madness.”
She also called on Americans to become more informed and to demand prosecutions for crimes like FGM. “You won’t push the ball if you don’t know it needs to be pushed. Awareness is everything.”
Waters noted that while the U.S. is larger and more spread out, the signs are already there, and possibly worse. “You’ve had more FGM prosecutions than the UK. You already have Muslim-run cities. I absolutely believe you have grooming gangs, too. It’s just not as visible – yet.”
Advice for American Women: Take Action Now
Waters didn’t just issue a warning – she extended a personal offer of support to American women:
“If any woman in the U.S. wants to host a debate on Sharia law or lobby her local representative, I will help. I’ll help you build your case, structure your argument, and provide evidence.”
She’s also building a resource archive via her Substack to equip citizens, especially women, to confront the threat of Islamic political power in their communities.
What Keeps Her Going
Despite personal risk and relentless smears, Waters continues to speak out.
“I don’t regret a second of it,” she said. “Even if the Overton Window hasn’t shifted enough for me to return yet, I know it will. I can already see members of Parliament now saying what I was destroyed for saying years ago.”
She offered a personal invitation to American women: “If you want to hold a debate on Sharia law, I will help you. If you want to lobby your representatives, I’ll help you build the case. Just email me.”
Waters also encouraged viewers to follow her Substack, where she is publishing a series on how Islamic migration has affected women across Europe, including Germany, France, and Italy.
Final Message
“What’s happened to us is coming for you,” Waters said bluntly. “If you don’t act now, you won’t be able to act at all.”
RAIR Foundation USA thanks Anne Marie Waters for her courage, clarity, and tireless efforts in fighting for women’s rights and national sovereignty.
